There's something nostalgic about Big 5 for me, and I was glad to actually find shoes in my size and they were on sale 50% off! If you wear a size 13+ men's this is probably one of the few places up here that will carry your size. Also thank you to the gentleman who helped me find a great pair of FILA's

This store is like a long time family owned business. Even the cashier gave recommendations and knew where the fishing stuff was that I needed. In and out quickly too. Definitely recommend.

My family and me stopped at this Big 5 so they could buy hiking boots. The lady that helped us at the shoe dept. was really friendly and helpful. Apologized for the delay but it wasn’t necessary cause it was no problem for us and didn’t mind but appreciate how nice and polite she was about it. We were looking for beanies afterwards and we asked another associate where they had their beanies at. She pointed us to where they were and explained to us that they were moving inventory around as a heads up which we also appreciate, another nice and friendly polite associate. I heard I was asked about, SC: aroundthefur92. Experience was a 5/5. I recommend this place.

Thanks to Julie who saved our camping trip. She had already locked the store, but was nice enough to let me buy some bear spray. I’m sure she would have liked to have home home after a long Saturday. Customer service is not dead. Thanks Julie !

This is by far the best Big 5 in all of Arizona! And it's tucked in the little town of Payson. Everytime we come up north we make sure to hit this Big 5. They have the best inventory - great sales - and the salespeople are friendly and super helpful. It's something we look forward to on our trips up here. We've always been able to find just what we need at this store. They even went back and searched inventory that was out of season to meet my needs.

Great location. We just stopped by to waste some time to gawk over the guns. The employee was real nice and let us stare for 15 min or more and never got impatient. He even let us hold one if them. It was close to closing and he didn't seem irritated that we were there either, even if he was haha.

Julie makes it really nice to shop here. I'd drive half an hour out of my way, and spend more money on an item I could get elsewhere, to get greeted nicely and feel like I'm being taken care of. She's got a great attitude and is knowledgeable about (and seems to know exactly where to find) the things I'm looking for. It's nice to be around someone who seems to like what they do and wants to help (instead of just putting in time to get a paycheck).

Ricky was awesome and helped us with everything my boyfriend needed he is a mechanic and likes a specific shoe. He was patient and attentive and got him into the right shoe! Thanks a lot. Would definitely recommend this place if you have any issues with shoes.

Thank you to the staff! They assisted the Tonto Apache Police and Tribal Council with a large purchase of shoes and bags! They assisted in fitting and locating shoes for the local Payson Area Special Olympics Athletes that the Tribe purchased! A total of 32 athletes were attended to by the staff!! Thank you again!
